"Fullmetal Alchemist" is one of Japan's most popular manga series, with over 30 million copies sold and a very successful animation series spawned. Square Enix and Kotobukiya have pulled out all the stops to do justice to it in this latest in the Sculpture Arts series. This intricately detailed polyresin cast of Edward and Alphonse Elric brilliantly illumines the key concept of alchemy in the manga: Toukakoukan, or Fair Exchange. In other words, to get something, you must always give up something of equal value in return. Here Alphonse reclines lifelessly against Edward as Edward gathers power from the Philosopher's Stone.
